With its location at the top of the hill and overlooking the valley of Kamniška Bistrica, the house has a natural landscape as its starting point and an exceptional view of the wider surroundings.
The building is half submerged in the topography – the entrance, garage and service rooms are hidden under the main volume. A simple programmatic organization – living areas and two bedrooms – spreads across the hilltop in a large Y-shaped ground floor volume that opens up to views in all directions.
A round, centrally placed staircase at the junction of the three ‘wings’ acts as a lobby/hall of the house and at the same time connects all parts and provides them with privacy.
Exposed structure – exposed concrete surrounds the entire house. All outdoor spaces – terraces, entrance, garages, etc. are incorporated into the volume of the object outlined by the structure. The house thus gives the impression of a simple pavilion in the landscape.
